Pre-Start Preparation Work for ANGES Industrial Chiller (Air-cooled & Water-cooled)
2026-05-12
General Pre-Start Preparation (Applicable to All ANGES Industrial Chillers)
The following inspection items are mandatory for both air-cooled and water-cooled chillers before startup:
Power System Inspection: Verify that the mains power supply voltage, frequency and phase sequence comply with the unit’s rated parameters (allowable deviation: ±10% of rated voltage). Check that the power wiring is firm, the grounding device is reliable, and no wire aging, looseness or short-circuit risks exist. Ensure the main power switch and control circuit switch are in normal standby status.
Mechanical & Appearance Inspection: Inspect the overall appearance of the chiller for damage, deformation or oil leakage. Check all fixing bolts, brackets and protective covers are tightly installed without looseness. Confirm no foreign objects, dust or debris block the unit body.
Lubrication System Inspection: Check the compressor oil level, ensure the lubricating oil level is within the standard scale range (1/3 to 2/3 of the sight glass). For long-term shutdown units, power on the unit in advance for 12 hours to preheat the compressor lubricating oil to guarantee lubrication performance.
Water Circuit Basic Inspection: Check the internal and external water pipelines for leakage, damage or blockage. Confirm all pipeline connecting parts are sealed tightly. Check the chilled water tank water level reaches the standard marked line, and the water quality is clean without impurities.
Control System Inspection: Power on the control panel, check that the display screen, indicator lights and sensors work normally. Confirm no fault codes, alarm prompts or abnormal parameter settings exist, and reset parameters to factory default if necessary.
Special Pre-Start Preparation for ANGES Air-cooled Industrial Chiller
On the basis of the general inspection items, complete the following dedicated preparation work for air-cooled chillers:
Air Duct & Heat Dissipation Inspection: Thoroughly clean the condenser fin surface to remove accumulated dust, lint and sundries. Ensure the air inlet and outlet of the chiller are unobstructed with no barriers within 1.5 meters around the unit, to guarantee smooth air circulation and normal heat dissipation efficiency.
Cooling Fan Inspection: Manually check the condenser cooling fan for flexible rotation without jamming, abnormal noise or blade damage. Confirm the fan wiring is firm and the fan protection net is installed completely and firmly.
Chilled Water Pipeline Confirmation: Fully open the inlet and outlet valves of the chilled water circuit. Start the chilled water pump in advance to exhaust air inside the pipeline and pump body, ensure stable water circuit pressure and normal water flow, and eliminate water hammer and idle running risks.
Operating Environment Check: Confirm the ambient temperature of the equipment room is within the unit’s allowable operating range. Avoid direct sunlight, high temperature or poor ventilation environment affecting the refrigeration effect.
Special Pre-Start Preparation for ANGES Water-cooled Industrial Chiller
On the basis of the general inspection items, complete the following dedicated preparation work for water-cooled chillers:
Cooling Water System Inspection: Check the cooling water pipeline, cooling water pump and supporting cooling tower system. Fully open all cooling water inlet and outlet valves and tower water valves to ensure smooth cooling water circulation.
Cooling Tower Preparation: Inspect the cooling tower fan, water distributor and packing for damage and blockage. Check the cooling tower water level is up to the standard requirement. Test-run the cooling tower fan to confirm no abnormal noise or abnormal operation.
Dual Water Circuit Debugging: Start the chilled water pump and cooling water pump successively. Exhaust air from the two water circuits completely, observe the water pressure gauge and flow meter data, and confirm the water pressure and flow rate are stable within the normal operating range.
Condenser Water Circuit Check: Inspect the condenser internal water circuit for scaling and blockage. For units that have been used for a long time, confirm no scaling affects heat exchange efficiency. Check all water circuit seals for water leakage.
Auxiliary Equipment Confirmation: Verify that the water replenishment device, filter and pressure relief device of the water system are in normal working condition to ensure automatic water replenishment and overpressure protection during unit operation.
Final Confirmation Before Startup
After completing all the above inspection and preparation work, confirm that all equipment accessories, circuits and water circuits are normal, no hidden dangers exist, and the on-site operation environment meets the startup conditions. The operator can follow the standard startup sequence to start the ANGES industrial chiller.
